General Practice / Emergency Veterinarian
My parents always joke that the moment they knew I was destined to become a veterinarian was when my first words were “bow wow,” despite their valiant efforts at trying to get me to say “mom” or “dad.” I have wanted to be a veterinarian ever since I can remember, and feel very lucky to get to come to work every day to care for your furry (and sometimes feathered) family members.
I completed my undergraduate studies at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo with a degree in Animal Science and a minor in Spanish. I then went on to earn my doctorate from the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine.
Growing up in the Bay Area, we spent many summers and weekends visiting Calaveras County. I quickly fell in love with the area and I am happy to now call Murphys “home.” I enjoy hiking, boating, camping, and spending time with my two senior chihuahuas (Frankie and Faye), Anatolian Shepherd (Fiona), cat (Squeak), Guinea pigs, and chickens.
Professionally, my interests include emergency and critical care, cardiology, surgery, and geriatrics/hospice care. I enjoy staying up to date on the latest advances in veterinary medicine and strive to provide you and your pet with the highest level of veterinary care at every visit.
